Transcript:

Christina:
Hi. Okay, so my name is Christina Foisy. I’m the funding researcher/ Sense Project coordinator at Head & Hands.

Miriam: Can you describe the Sense Project, its scope and its goals?

Christina:

Yes. The Sense Project is a sexual health education project at Head & Hands. Its scope is to deliver workshops in schools and high schools in Montreal, and to also train volunteer at peer educators, so high school students, to be sexual health advocates in their school and in their communities. So that’s generally the scope of the Sense Project.

Miriam: Okay, and what are its goals?

Christina:

Oh, its goal is to obviously educate youth around sexual health issues to empower them with the tools necessary to make decisions in their own minds regarding their sexuality and their sexual health, to give them opportunities to create sexual health materials whether it be media materials like videos, podcasts, radio shows, websites, blogs, the whole gamut. It can also be theater pieces or things like that too, but to have a creative outlift for this knowledge and to disseminate it as widely as possible, so to also give them a chance to attend conferences and things like that.
