Kate Lavut has been making films since the age of 15, when she and 5 friends interviewed young people throughout Canada to see if generation X really existed. However, they never completed the film as the editor stole the footage and used it to get into film school. Throughout high school Kate continued to film and interview youth on the street for both YTV and Women’s Television Network.
