"I think my initial motivations were um that I think if I, when I was in high school if I had that program, my, the decision-making I, well the decision I made about my schooling would have been different and I probably would have had a much better experience with high school because I had a really terrible high school experience."

"I think I would insist that they took turns filming and directing, even if they didn’t express an interest in that. I didn’t feel it was really my place to push them to do things, but at the same time I had to take up the slack on that."

"It’s a lot more likely for one of the participants to not show up because they’ve got to go to Footlocker and buy a new pair of kicks! That’s a lot more realistic, and more common for that to be the reason."

"One of the things that I thought was really fun was um, one of the tasks was to compare the garbage collection system in Montreal and Cairo - which would be a lot of fun if you had a clue where Cairo was. It's that type of thing that doesn't seem to translate into our particular environment. But it's a great idea on paper."

"Yeah, so if it’s some kind of a goofy story, then that’s cool if that’s what they want to make, and that’s what they get at the end of it. If they want to make something that’s a bit glossy or say something that they could use as an educational tool in a classroom, then they can do that also, but always it being their choice of what they want to do and how they want to use it."
